Adaptive Sports: New Heights in Kyiv

In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, an event was held in memory of the esteemed coach Stanislav Zahoria, featuring the best rowers from across the country.

Twenty-eight teams from various regions of Ukraine participated in the tournament. The city of Odesa was represented by a team of veterans who, despite injuries sustained during service, are actively engaged in sports and inspire others.

Before the tournament, the Odesa team conducted training sessions, familiarized themselves with the course, and geared up for the challenges ahead, as they faced demanding distances requiring endurance and teamwork. Their competitors proved to be formidable.

The Odesa rowers again demonstrated their spirit and readiness, clinching prize positions in the competition. Their perseverance, daily training, and mutual support led to a celebrated outcome.

This victory represents not only athletic achievement but also a crucial step towards the recognition of adaptive sports. Our athletes prove that nothing is impossible.

Odesa will continue to support the development of adaptive sports and ensure equal opportunities for all.
