School Sports League: A New Stage for Young Athletes
The regional stage of the initiative «Together We Win» has been launched within the framework of school leagues. This project, supported by the President of Ukraine, aims to promote youth sports development.
This season features various sports, with a record number of participants – nearly 20,000 athletes. From the Odesa region, 2,440 teams from 541 schools have registered!
Today, 8 futsal teams (boys) competed for the opportunity to represent the region in the finals across two age categories (grades 5-9 and 9-11):
- Odesa Secondary School No. 35,
- Velykomykhailivskyi Lyceum,
- Pavlivskyi ZZS,
- Saratskyi Lyceum,
- Nerubaiskyi Lyceum No. 1,
- Zatyshanskyi ZZS,
- Kamytskyi Lyceum,
- Voznesensky First Lyceum.
During the opening ceremony, Anton Shalyhaylo, Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, addressed the young athletes, encouraging them.
Among the guests was one of Ukraine's top football scorers, ambassador of the project, and veteran athlete Oleksandr Kosyryn, who came to support the teams.
The region's sports mascot, the friendly Dolphin, energized participants throughout the matches.
In the 5-9 category, the Pavlivskyi Lyceum team emerged victorious, while the strongest among the 9-11 age group were the students of the Kamytskyi Lyceum.
