Support for Individuals with Disabilities in Ukraine: New Opportunities

Due to the armed conflict in Ukraine, the number of individuals with disabilities is rapidly increasing, especially among those suffering from severe injuries such as amputations or spinal injuries.

To aid their recovery and rehabilitation, specialized tools are necessary.

The government provides modern prosthetics and rehabilitation aids that help restore lost functions and adapt to new life conditions.

All information regarding the state prosthetics program is available on the platform protez.msp.gov.ua, launched by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.

Under this program, individuals can receive prosthetics or rehabilitation aids for free, along with services for repair and maintenance. Support is provided at every stage—from application submission to product receipt.

Free provision of rehabilitation aids is facilitated through the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities. The Ministry continually works to improve the program, making it easier to access rehabilitation resources.
