Collaboration for Inclusion and Accessibility in Odesa Region
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the delegation from the Odesa region had the honor of meeting with the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Mr. Arne Frankenstein.
During the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached to collaborate on sharing experiences in implementing inclusive practices and creating accessible environments. Special emphasis was placed on training social work professionals and developing innovative barrier-free spaces for all population groups.
The German side shared valuable insights and experiences in resolving pre-trial conflicts arising from the discrimination of persons with disabilities.
Additionally, we received assurances of support in finding partners to provide specialized vehicles for transporting persons with disabilities in the Odesa region, which is extremely important for our community.
We sincerely thank Mr. Arne Frankenstein and the German side for their openness to collaboration, knowledge exchange, and commitment to working together to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
