Recognition for Odesa Energy Workers in Power Restoration Efforts
Energy professionals from DTEK in the Odesa region were awarded honors by the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the Chornomorsk City Council. The awards were given for their crucial work during wartime and the swift restoration of electricity following attacks.
This information was announced by the press service of DTEK Odesa Electric Networks.
In particular, Vitaliy Shestun, the chief specialist on commercial losses, received a certificate from the Cabinet for ensuring the stable operation of the region's energy infrastructure during the state of war.
Additionally, nine other specialists were awarded certificates from the Chornomorsk City Council for their efforts in restoring power after the attack on the night of August 30 to 31, when over 30,000 households lost electricity. Within three days, the energy workers managed to restore power and restart critical infrastructure.
The Chornomorsk community has faced attacks before, but the consequences of the latest assault were particularly devastating. However, due to the experience and professionalism of our energy workers, light was restored in mere days. “Light will always triumph over darkness,” emphasized the head of the Chornomorsk community, Vasyl Huliaiev.
The honorary certificates were awarded to Dmytro Vasilyiev, Vitaliy Belyov, Oleksiy Kurenkov, Oleksandr Ropotan, Oleg Danyshevskyi, Valeriy Solodovnikov, Oleksiy Nepomyshchyi, Pavlo Tikhonchik, and Vadym Yakubovskyi.
It is worth noting that in March, 87 employees of DTEK Odessa Electric Networks also received certificates from local authorities for their prompt restoration of power supplies in Odessa and the surrounding areas after attacks.
