Celebrating Ukraine's Constitution Day

In his address for Constitution Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine must always be our priority. He also presented state awards at Sofia Square.

Direct quote: "Ukraine is millions of names that fill our hearts with pride. Ukraine is a choice our people make every day. These are millions of actions and feats that make up our nation. The social contract among all of us is that Ukraine comes first, Ukrainians are our independence, our rights, our dreams – of the entire nation – above all else."

Details: Zelensky also expressed gratitude to all nations of the world for their support of Ukraine and mentioned Polish President Andrzej Duda, who participated in the ceremony.

At Sofia Square, the president awarded the highest state honors.

In particular, the families of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine were awarded the "Golden Star" orders. Posthumously awarded the highest state title were: soldier Ostap Makarov, Colonel Viktor Polyvianyi, Senior Lieutenant Mykola Skydan, journalist, volunteer, and paramedic Iryna Tsybukh.

Additionally, two Heroes of Ukraine received their awards in person: Junior Lieutenant Petro Herasymovych and Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Ivantsov.
