Odessa Autism Conference: New Perspectives
On May 20, 2025, the international conference «Odessa Speaks about Autism» began in Odessa, bringing together leading experts from the UK, Germany, the USA, and Ukraine.
The event was dedicated to discussing pressing issues related to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and effective social adaptation strategies for children with special educational needs.
Conference participants shared experiences, explored modern approaches to rehabilitation, education, and support for children with autism, and formed new professional partnerships to foster an inclusive society.
The Odessa City Council is already implementing a series of initiatives to support individuals with ASD and their families. However, the demand for such services is increasing, so the city’s task is to continuously improve the support system and expand the range of assistance.
During the event, honorary certificates and awards were presented on behalf of the Odessa Mayor to specialists working daily in the field of social adaptation and rehabilitation of children with autism.
