New Developments in Ukraine's Subsurface Resource Management

The State Geological Service of Ukraine has launched a new section concerning special permits for the use of natural resources.

This was reported by the press service of the State Geological Service of Ukraine here.

The Register contains information about:

- the issuance date and validity period of the special permit,

- options for extending the validity period and making amendments,

- types and purposes of subsurface usage,

- information about land plots,

- sources of funding for planned operations (state or private investments),

- special conditions, data about the owner and approval for the permit,

- agreements on subsurface usage or product distribution, among others.

According to the State Geological Service, the special permit is issued in electronic format. The information in the extract from the Register is current as of its creation date.

The Register operates around the clock, except during scheduled maintenance.

During martial law, access to the resource is temporarily restricted, except for law enforcement and governmental bodies.

Chairman Oleg Hotsynets reported that preparations are underway to implement registers for artesian, oil, and gas wells.

Reminder:

Through the "Diia" app, it is possible to submit requests for compensation due to emotional distress from the disappearance of a close family member.

Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression since February 24, 2022, can now submit six additional types of claims for compensation to the International Register of Damages.

The "Diia" app has also added an extract from the Register of damaged and destroyed property — regarding the destruction of housing or submitted applications for the eRestoration program.
