Advanced Border Security Measures with Moldova
In the Odesa region, the border segment with Moldova is being enhanced with bi-spectral cameras. There is also a new bypass road under construction. This information was shared by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on their official Facebook page.
«This development will enable border patrols to move more swiftly along the border, ensuring quick responses to any changes in the situation and improving service conditions. Meanwhile, bi-spectral cameras will allow for effective online monitoring of the border situation, as they capture images in both visible and infrared spectral ranges,» stated the SBGS.
According to Major General Yurii Petrov, head of the Southern Regional Department of the SBGS, the development of such infrastructure in this area is a significant strategic task aimed at strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
