Oleg Kiper Calls for Daily Moment of Silence

The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, has demanded that mayors and local authorities strictly observe a moment of silence every day at 9:00 AM. This also includes halting all types of transport.

In his Telegram channel, Kiper reminded about the Presidential Decree of Ukraine dated March 16, 2022, which calls for Ukrainians to stop for a moment to honor the memory of all who have lost their lives due to the war.

“I demand from mayors, local government bodies, military administrations, heads of state institutions and enterprises operating in the region to comply with this decree.

There can be no “forgotten,” “didn’t hear,” or “we were busy.”

If you have time for coffee or phone calls, then you must also have time for one essential minute of silence.

A daily moment of silence is not just a pause; it is our memory and gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine. It is our moral duty,” stated Oleg Kiper.
