Fire Incident in Odesa District: Rapid Response by Firefighters
Yesterday, in the Odesa district, near the village of Avangard, a fire broke out affecting dry vegetation.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
Due to strong winds, there was a significant risk of the fire spreading. Drones were deployed for aerial reconnaissance and fire monitoring. Emergency units operated under an elevated call number.
The fire was extinguished within a few hours, impacting an area of approximately 25 hectares!
Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Four units of equipment and 15 firefighters from the State Emergency Service were involved, along with 3 units and 7 personnel from the Avangard Village Council's Citizen Safety Center, and 1 unit with 4 members from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association.
