Alert Issued in Romania Due to Airstrike
In the Romanian town of Tulcea, located on the banks of the Danube, air alerts were declared due to airstrikes carried out by Russia targeting southern Ukraine. These events were also visible from Moldovan territory.
According to Digi24, on the night of August 5-6, an air alert lasted for an hour and a half due to Russian drone attacks on Odesa region.
The operations of air defense and explosions were clearly visible from Romania.
A fire that broke out during the shelling caused concern among the local population, with around 20 individuals calling emergency services, believing there was a fire nearby.
“Response teams remained in the area to monitor the situation and intervene if necessary. We urge calm and remind citizens that the targets of Russian attacks are not in Romania, and we encourage adherence to safety recommendations from authorities,” – stated officials from the fire service.
The attack was also visible from Moldova, as reported by readers to the publication Nokta.
