Starlink Satellite Internet Restores Service After Outage

The Starlink satellite network has resumed operations after a significant outage that lasted about two and a half hours, negatively impacting communication stability, particularly in combat zones.

This was confirmed by the company’s Vice President Michael Nichols on X, along with the commander of the UAV forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brody, known as "Madyar".

Nichols stated: "The outage was caused by failures in critical internal software services that support the core network. We apologize for the temporary service disruption; we are committed to providing a highly reliable network and will fully rectify this issue to prevent its recurrence".

According to Brody, communication was restored across all fronts approximately between 00:35 and 01:05.

During the outage, combat operations continued without broadcasts, utilizing strike assets for reconnaissance.

Madyar added: "Combat operations were conducted without broadcasts; reconnaissance was carried out using strike assets. This incident, lasting a lengthy 150 minutes in wartime, highlights existing bottlenecks. We need to address and diversify communication".
