Innovative Risk Management in Procurement

The Ukrainian Seaports Administration has introduced an innovative technology for managing risks and monitoring procurement processes.

This information was disclosed on the official website of the administration.

"With this new technology, we can automatically analyze tender procedures using risk indicators, filters, and control metrics. This allows us to detect potential violations before contracts are signed or issues arise," the statement reads.

"This internal procurement control acts as another step towards reducing corruption risks, enhancing transparency, and ensuring effective use of state funds," notes the administration.

"The risk management system in procurement enables us to identify weaknesses before they become problems," added representatives of the maritime administration.

The system has been implemented with the support of the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), which is a leading anti-corruption program in Ukraine funded by the EU and implemented by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The administration also emphasizes that all procurements are conducted through the electronic system Prozorro in accordance with national legislation. The launch of the risk management system will serve as an additional layer of control and monitoring.
