President's Meeting with Law Enforcement: A New Collaborative Phase
President Volodymyr Zelensky convened a meeting with the heads of anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies, emphasizing the need for constructive collaboration.
He shared this update on social media.
Zelensky described the conversation as "open and beneficial". According to him, the parties agreed to hold an "in-depth working meeting" next week to discuss a plan of action. In two weeks, a joint plan is expected to be presented, detailing the necessary steps to strengthen Ukraine and ensure fairness for its citizens.
The President also posted a group photo of all meeting participants.
Direct quote: "I thank everyone who participated in today’s meeting: SBU, NABU, SAP, NAPK, DBR, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Attorney General. I appreciate the willingness to work together for the interests of Ukraine".
He emphasized that all participants are listening to the public and understand what people expect from state institutions to ensure justice and effectiveness in their operations. They discussed vital administrative and legislative initiatives that will enhance the functionality of governmental bodies and resolve existing contradictions.
Why this matters: President Zelensky has yet to address the recently signed law limiting the powers of anti-corruption institutions, as well as the protests that occurred near the President's Office.
