Police Dog Elsa Saves Elderly Man's Life
In Odessa, a police dog named Elsa became a hero by saving the life of a 74-year-old man. Together with her handler, Marina Novitska, the dog found a man who had gone missing the day before.
After nearly a day of fruitless searching by relatives, they sought help from the authorities.
"The grandfather disappeared unexpectedly, and the family's search yielded no results. It was only after the family contacted law enforcement that the police dog picked up the scent and led us to him. In the rain, at night, Elsa worked tirelessly and found the man unconscious but fortunately alive, in a field near the village of Delzhyler," said Andriy Nebitov, Deputy Head of the National Police and Chief of Criminal Police.
Police immediately called for medical assistance, which provided necessary help to the victim.
Andriy Nebitov also noted that service dogs are indispensable aids in the daily operations of the police.
