Restrictions on Freight Transportation Due to Heat
Restrictions are being imposed on trucks weighing over 24 tons and with axle loads exceeding 7 tons.
A special regime has been introduced for roads in the Odessa region.
This information was provided by the press service of the patrol police of the region.
«To protect the road surface, trucks are prohibited from moving when air temperatures exceed +28 degrees Celsius. This restriction applies to vehicles with a gross weight over 24 tons and axle loads exceeding 7 tons», – the statement reads.
Drivers can wait out the heat at designated parking areas or near roadside service facilities. The movement restriction does not apply to vehicles that: are involved in emergency situations; transport perishable goods; hazardous materials; live animals; high-risk cargo; military loads, and items used for defense purposes.
