Revamping the Inclusive Beach at Station 11

Renovation works for the inclusive beach for individuals with disabilities are ongoing at Station 11 of the Great Fountain. 

The project is commissioned by the Engineering Protection Department of the Odessa City Council. 

Currently, a metal framework and terrace boards have been installed, along with safety barriers. A metal ramp for access to the sea has been assembled, and installation work is underway. 

Reinforced concrete ramps and beach decking materials have also been delivered, along with safety elements for the retaining wall. 

Additionally, extensive repairs have been made to the sewage pumps and external sewer system, and the changing rooms and showers have been refurbished. Concrete stairs for access to the beach area are also being constructed. 

Renovation of the restroom facilities for people with limited mobility, medical station, and storage/security area is in progress. 

Preparations are underway for a concrete platform for the installation of exercise equipment. 

For the safety of future beach visitors, a concrete shelter has been built and installed. 

The completion of the renovation of the inclusive beach is scheduled for the end of June 2025.
