Odessa's Mayor on Rebuilding After Drone Attack
Odessa's Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov spoke about the efforts to restore a building damaged during a drone strike, assuring residents that the city will do everything possible to facilitate their return.
During a field meeting in the area of Yaroslav the Wise Avenue, which was hit by an enemy drone, Trukhanov engaged with local residents.
According to the findings of the emergency commission, the building has been deemed unsafe and requires temporary relocation for repair work. Residents have been offered assistance through a rental compensation program.
«An extraordinary session of the Odessa City Council is scheduled for May 13, where the council members will determine the funding for the stabilization and restoration of the upper floors. Before that, the technical report will be reviewed by the regional emergency commission. We will do everything possible to ensure families can return home as soon as possible,» — the mayor stated.
