Odessa Prepares for Summer Recreation Season: New Beach Openings
Odessa is gearing up for the summer health season. This year, the city plans to open significantly more beaches for tourists compared to last year.
This was announced by the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, during a national telethon.
Last year, about 20 beaches were opened; this season, we aim for 48, — he noted.
Kiper also mentioned that the city continues to enhance safety measures, especially in crowded areas. Currently, there are 2,660 shelters available in Odessa.
All major gathering places in Odessa are equipped with shelters. The main issue is ensuring that people actually use them, — emphasized Kiper.
The head of the OVA also commented on the situation in the ports and the operation of the grain corridor. According to Kiper, since the corridor began functioning, around 5,000 vessels have entered and exited Odessa's ports.
We have increased volumes compared to before the full-scale invasion. Our ports currently handle more than half of the country's exports, — he added.
Kiper also addressed the situation regarding the only inclusive beach in Ukraine, located in Odessa. Despite some disputes, the beach will definitely operate this season.
Yes, there were some disagreements, but the beach will be open. If there are any issues, we will assist, — added the OVA leader.
It is worth noting that Odessa is the only seaside resort in Ukraine where, amid the war, the opportunity for seaside recreation is gradually being restored, with the establishment of safe zones and shelters.
