Commemoration of the Odessa Tragedy Victims
On the anniversary of the tragic events of May 2, 2014, traffic was restricted on streets leading to Kulikovo Field in Odessa. It is important to recall that in 2014, 46 people lost their lives in the Trade Union House during a fire (two others were shot on the streets of Odessa earlier that day).
The city witnessed widespread unrest, instigated by pro-Russian groups. They attacked a march of football fans and Ukrainian activists, resulting in the death of two participants.
Consequently, violent clashes erupted, culminating in the fire at the Trade Union House on Kulikovo Field.
