Tragic Road Incident Claims Life Near Odessa
Today, April 28, 2025, a tragic incident took place on the M-14 highway connecting Odessa and Mykolaiv, within the village of Vyzirka.
According to Dmitry Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department, it has been preliminarily established that a female driver of a «Toyota» caused a traffic accident while overtaking, colliding with two other cars and a truck.
As a result of the crash, one driver lost their life, while two other drivers and a passenger were taken to the hospital with various injuries.
Investigative teams from the Odessa police department and patrol officers responded to the scene.
Information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violating road safety rules that led to death.
A series of expert examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation to ascertain all circumstances of the incident.
Police once again urge drivers to strictly follow traffic rules and remain vigilant on the roads.
