Young Scholars Shine: Results of the Olympiads in Chernivtsi

From March 24 to 28, Chernivtsi hosted the finest young linguists and language specialists from Ukraine. The IV stage of the National Olympiad in Ukrainian language and literature for students of grades 8-11 took place here.

In a fierce intellectual competition among 136 participants from 24 regions, the winner of the Olympiad was Anastasia Didyk, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 38 (teacher Maxutina Olena).

Anastasia demonstrated not only profound knowledge of the subjects but also creative thinking, analytical skills, a creative approach, and a deep love for her native Ukrainian language.

From March 31 to April 4, the IV stage of the National Student Olympiad in Geography took place in Chernivtsi. Approximately 150 participants from all regions of Ukraine participated. The competition was held in two rounds: theoretical and practical.

The prize winners were:
- Kateryna Sulima, a 9th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Shulevskyi Serhii);
- Artem Pastoshchuk, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 (teacher Yastremska Svitlana).

Ksenia Huivan, a 10th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum “Mariinsky,” received a participant diploma and gained invaluable experience for future achievements.

Artem Pastoshchuk also received a special award for the best presentation of the topic “The Phenomenon of Urban Heat Islands.”

Additionally, winners of the IV stage of the National Student Olympiad in Biology were identified, with more than 170 students from grades 8-11 participating from all regions of Ukraine and Kyiv. The closing ceremony took place in Lviv region.

Anna Vidova, an 8th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Ihnatyieva Liudmyla), was awarded a second-degree diploma.
