Innovative Strategies for Preventing Youth Violence
Members of the Odessa High School Parliament, with the help of patrol police inspectors from the Odessa region, conducted a training card game titled "Create a Safety Circle".
This game aids in developing an understanding of violence, bullying, and methods for prevention and resolution.
The «Safety Circle» methodology, supported by UNICEF Ukraine, encompasses five key areas: «General Concepts of Violence», «Bullying and the Child», «Child and Online Violence», «Child and Domestic Violence», «Child and Strangers».
During the friendly discussions, participants shared their thoughts on the importance of preventing and addressing various forms of violence, as well as its causes and consequences.
Furthermore, student government leaders learned about legal responsibilities, how to seek help in risky situations, and possibilities for crime prevention.
The patrol officers urged children not to conceal incidents of violence and to report any manifestations to law enforcement agencies.
This event aims to raise awareness among children and youth about lawful behavior and accountability for offenses, as well as to prevent and address bullying and violence in adolescent environments.
