Preparations for the Heating Season in Odesa
The heating season is about to begin in Odesa. Specialists from the «Housing and Communal Services» are completing preparations for the internal central heating systems.
Immediately after the last heating season ended in the spring of 2024, the «Housing and Communal Services» started preparing the internal central heating systems for the 2024-2025 heating season.
As part of the preparation, experts are conducting repair and maintenance work on thermal utilization equipment and internal heating systems, checking and calibrating energy consumption devices, and addressing issues found in hydraulic and thermal regimes.
Employees are also performing flushing of equipment, thermal utilization installations, pipelines, and heat consumption systems, along with restoring thermal insulation and checking the sealing of engineering inputs where necessary.
Hydraulic tests of the internal central heating systems have been conducted, and the experts have fine-tuned the heat consumption systems while completing a range of necessary tasks to ensure the uninterrupted operation of central heating systems in residential buildings.
After the repair and maintenance work, the heat consumption systems are filled with chemically purified water under a pressure exceeding static by 0.5 kgf/cm², and the inlet valves are closed.
As the heating season commences, plumbers from the housing and communal services will sequentially open the valves of the central heating systems in the buildings, which usually takes some time, after which warmth will reach the homes of city residents.
