Energy Saving: Effective Ways to Reduce Consumption
According to NEC "UKRENERGO", electricity consumption increases as temperatures drop. The energy system is still recovering from severe attacks.
The higher the device’s power, the more electricity it consumes. A higher energy efficiency class results in lower energy use. It’s crucial to carefully select household appliances to save money and reduce the load on the energy system.
Intelligent energy consumption management will help prevent overloads and outages in the power system.
Expert energy-saving tips:
- Unplug devices when not in use (chargers, TV on standby, etc.). Even in "sleep mode", appliances consume significant electricity;
- Boil only the necessary amount of water – this saves your time and money while reducing the energy system's load;
- Run washing and dishwashing machines when fully loaded, preferably at night after peak hours. Choose lower temperature washing programs;
- Use energy-saving bulbs. Don’t leave the lights on in empty rooms;
- Charge smartphones, laptops, power banks at night when consumption is lowest.
Energy experts also remind not to turn on multiple high-power devices simultaneously during peak hours: in the morning from 07:00 to 11:00 and in the evening from 16:00 to 22:00.
