Odesa Municipal Services Enhance City Environment
Last week, municipal services in Odesa were actively engaged in enhancing the streets, yards, and parks of the city. They also ensured that urban facilities and communications were maintained in proper condition. Housing and communal service specialists carried out a number of tasks requested by residents.
The municipal enterprise «City Roads» was conducting scheduled cleaning of bus stops, both mechanically and manually cleaning the assigned areas, and clearing the grates of storm drains from fallen leaves. Additionally, they worked on cleaning stormwater drainage systems throughout the city.
The «City Green Trust» was focusing on maintaining the city’s green spaces: sweeping paths, cleaning lawns of fallen leaves and debris, trimming bushes, and removing hazardous trees. Work on planting chrysanthemums was also ongoing, with gardeners traditionally washing the rotunda in the City Garden every Saturday.
Experts from the «Housing and Communal Services» responded to emergency situations in building communications as per residents’ requests, and also carried out planned work on roof repairs, removal of dead trees, and cleaning of basements and attics.
Moreover, last week, efforts to eliminate the aftermath of the heavy rain that caused significant damage on Rybalska Balka Street and surrounding streets continued.
Municipal workers hold sanitation days weekly, tidying up abandoned areas.
The municipal enterprise «Service Center» continues the winterization of city fountains.
