Urban Greening Preparations for Winter in Odesa
Workers from the «Miskzelentrest» have started preparations for the city's urban greening as it approaches the autumn-winter season.
According to the approved plan, this autumn, Odesa will see the planting of 1064 young trees - large-sized saplings of deciduous species with root balls for better adaptation to the urban environment. Specifically, 330 saplings are planned to be planted at locations where stumps have been removed (including white acacia, maple, common ash, Japanese sophora, and western plane).
Tree planting activities are set to begin around early November.
Additionally, greenkeepers have already started preparing the greenhouses located at the «Rose» site for winter. The greenhouses operate year-round. Currently, they are laying out seeds for summer flowers, gathering firewood, and covering the greenhouses with polyethylene film.
Beginning in early November, the trust will commence the winterization of the irrigation systems. The «Miskzelentrest» is responsible for approximately 50 irrigation systems located in various areas of the city, including parks and squares.
