Maintenance of Odesa's Infrastructure: Daily Efforts of Municipal Workers
Employees of the municipal enterprise «Service Center» diligently maintain the sanitary conditions of drinking wells, ponds in Victory Park, mobile shelters, city fountains, and monuments of monumental art that are not architectural heritage, along with their surrounding areas. In winter, when the fountains «sleep», the specialists regularly perform preventive maintenance on the fountain equipment.
Approximately 165 specialists work daily on the streets of Odesa. The municipal workers perform cleaning of assigned objects and areas, grass mowing, monument and fountain basin washing, and carry out necessary repairs of all assigned properties.
Currently, the enterprise oversees: 16 drinking well complexes; 27 fountains; a hydraulic complex of ponds in the dendropark of Victory; 21 public toilets, including facilities for individuals with disabilities; 45 objects of monumental art that are not part of cultural heritage; 4 landscaping elements at the city entrances; 149 firefighting ponds; a panoramic elevator located on Primorsky Boulevard; 92 civil protection structures and 6 mobile shelters.
