Mural of Hope: Honoring Ukraine's Abducted Children
A new mural has emerged in Odessa, serving as a symbol of remembrance for Ukraine's abducted children. Artist Andriy Yermolenko depicted a girl behind barbed wire, embodying profound emotions of loss and sorrow. Her gaze is filled with sadness, yet a red map of Ukraine rests over her heart, reminding us of the unbroken bond with her homeland.
The girl is crowned with a wreath of blue and yellow flowers, representing not only Ukraine but also hope for a brighter future. Beside her, a titmouse sits on the barbed wire, symbolizing home and peace, emphasizing that Ukraine is always waiting for its children.
This mural is the first in Ukraine dedicated to affected children, with the artist previously creating a similar project in Lviv.
