Every year, during the warm season, employees of the Odesa «Service Center» engage in cleaning and washing monuments that are not classified as cultural heritage. There are 45 such monuments under the management of the center, located throughout the city.

Additionally, monuments are repaired and painted as needed.

Currently, specialists from the Odesa «Service Center» have completed the ongoing repairs of six monumental art objects and landscaping elements:

• the monument «The Abduction of Europe»;
• the monument to pilot hero M. Gastello;
• the monument to Borys Derev'yanka;
• a commemorative plaque;
• the monument to T.G. Shevchenko;
• a landscaping element located on Ovidiopolskyi Road at the corner of the Central Airport.

As part of the ongoing repairs, stairs and all damages to the structures have been restored, chips and stains on the tiled surface have been removed, and all painted elements have been refreshed.

To prevent potential acts of vandalism, monuments are treated with an anti-vandal protective solution at the final stage of the work.

Furthermore, starting from spring, when good weather sets in, and continuing until autumn, monuments are washed twice a month. Special chemical agents (for tiles or granite) and specialized equipment are used for dust removal. A cherry picker is also employed when necessary.
