Inspection of the Black Sea Bay in Odesa
On April 29, 2025, at the initiative of the Odesa City Council, a commission was formed to assess the ecological state of the Black Sea Bay, stretching from the Old Lustdorf Road to the beach "Chornomorka".
The commission included representatives from various departments: the Department of Ecology, the district administration, municipal services, and other organizations.
During the inspection, unauthorized sewage discharges from some private households were discovered directly into the Black Sea Bay. However, no discharges into the sea at the "Chornomorka" beach were recorded.
As a result of the inspection, relevant agencies were instructed to eliminate the identified discharges and hold accountable those responsible.
Additionally, checks on other sections of the bay will be conducted to prevent potential sewage discharges.
