Celebrating Poetry in Shevchenko Park
On March 9th, a unique event took place in Shevchenko Park, Odessa, commemorating the legacy of Taras Shevchenko. Organized by the civic group «Defense of the State», the event was called «Celebrate Poetry with Sweets» and welcomed all participants.
Attendees had the opportunity to recite the poet's verses and receive sweet treats in return. This initiative brought together people of all ages, from children to adults, highlighting the enduring popularity of Shevchenko's works.
Every person who recited his poetry was rewarded with a box of candies. Alexey Zemlyany, the leader of the Odessa branch of the organization, emphasized the significance of the event in promoting Ukrainian culture and identity. The closing remarks were dedicated to hopes for a brighter future for Ukraine.
