Cultural Workers Day and Library Partnerships
On November 9, Ukraine celebrated Cultural Workers Day and Masters of Folk Art.
A pleasant development was the agreement for collaboration between the libraries of Odessa and the library system of Regensburg.
“The library project aims to establish foreign literature halls in Odessa libraries, shaped by our sister cities. The Regensburg library will be the first pilot project,” noted Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration.
Next year, one of the libraries in Odessa will open a hall dedicated to German literature, featuring an exhibition on the history of Regensburg.
The sister city Regensburg will assist in filling and organizing the hall's activities, as well as publishing engaging works by German authors.
A similar corner will be established in the libraries of Regensburg.
