Final Tour of the "Renaissance" Exhibition in Odessa

On November 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM, we invite everyone to the final tour of the exhibition «Renaissance» at the Odesa Municipal Museum of Personal Collections named after O.V. Bleschunov.

This memorial exhibition «Renaissance» is dedicated to the memory of the prominent Odesa painter and graphic artist Alexander Yosypovych Shkuropat (1964—2008).

The tour will be conducted by Eduard Ratushnyak, a well-known Odesa journalist and admirer of the artist Alexander Shkuropat's work.

At the «Renaissance» exhibition in the Bleschunov House, numerous paintings from series such as «Odessa and its surroundings», «City of Fish», «My Ukraine», and «Abduction of Europe» are presented. Additionally, there are «home» works left by the master for himself and his family as a reminder of the beginning of his creative journey. These unique pieces will be seen by the audience for the first time.

«Shkuropat was among those who decisively rejected socialist realism in painting, adding a fresh breath to decorative folklore, predicting the informal interest in Ukrainian culture in Odessa long before its current awakening, and outlining a certain direction in the national art of generations of artists», — shares Eduard Ratushnyak.
