Anniversary Forum of Ukrainian Books in Odesa
From June 6 to 8, the XXV National Exhibition-Forum dedicated to "Ukrainian Book in Odesa Region"
During the event, numerous activities are planned, including professional discussions on publishing during wartime, presentations of new publications, autograph sessions, public interviews, and creative workshops. The exhibition will also serve as a platform for charity actions to collect books for libraries in Odesa region, fostering dialogue between the professional community and the public, as well as promoting reading.
Among the planned events is an off-site Ukrainian Book Festival in Balta, the traditional competition for the “Best Book of the Exhibition-Forum,” and events dedicated to the Odesa literary school. Together with the Odesa Center of Ukrainian Culture and the NGO “Ukrainian Club of Odesa,” a space will be presented to familiarize attendees with elements of Ukraine's intangible cultural heritage.
Among the invited guests are Andriy Kurkov, Liubov Yakymchuk, Andriy Kokotiukha, Valerii Puzik, Taras Fediuk, and others.
The event is organized by the Odesa National Scientific Library in cooperation with the Ukrainian Publishers Association, the Book Chamber of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, and the Odesa Regional State Administration. The project is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Book Institute and local authorities.
Venue: Main building of the Odesa National Scientific Library (13 Pasteur St.); other cultural institution locations in Odesa and Balta.
