Cultural Exchange: Italy Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Artists
As part of the Italian Culture Days, an exhibition has opened in the Odessa City Council showcasing the works of students and faculty from the Artistic and Graphic Faculty of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky, titled 'Italy Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Artists'.
The exhibition features 25 artworks created in various mediums: oil painting, watercolor, and graphics. It represents a vibrant artistic dialogue between Ukraine and Italy.
Participants shared their experiences of discovering Italy, which inspired their creativity. The Ambassador of Odessa to the Italian Republic, Attilio Malliani, welcomed the attendees, thanked the students and professors for their interest in Italian culture, and highly praised the organization of the exhibition.
'On June 2, Italians celebrated the Day of the Republic. This anniversary is dedicated to the Week of Italian Culture in Odessa, culminating in a festival on Saturday. Our temperaments are similar, and I am sure everyone will find inspiration there,' emphasized the Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov.
The events of the Week of Italian Culture are organized with the support of the structural units of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and Marketing.
