Defensive Success: 88 Enemy Drones Neutralized
Ukrainian air defense forces have neutralized 88 out of 140 enemy drones launched by Russian forces.

According to reports, starting from 21:00 on Sunday, August 17, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with four Iskander-M ballistic missiles from areas including Taganrog, Millerovo, and Kursk, along with 140 strike drones of the Shahed type and various imitator drones from directions such as Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chаuda (temporarily occupied Crimea). The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces. Preliminary data as of 09:00 on Monday, August 18, indicates that air defense shot down 88 enemy Shahed drones and imitator drones in the north, south, east, and central regions of Ukraine. Strikes from missiles and attack drones were recorded at 25 locations in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.
