Repatriation Update: 1200 Bodies Returned to Ukraine
Today marks a significant development in the repatriation efforts, with 1200 bodies returned to Ukraine, claimed by the Russian side to belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel.
In the coming days, law enforcement agencies, in cooperation with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies.
These repatriation actions were made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Coordination Headquarters on Prisoner of War Management, the Joint Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other security structures.
We express our gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance.
Special thanks go to the personnel of the Central Office of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for facilitating the transportation of the deceased to appropriate state facilities.
