Polish-Ukrainian Business: New Opportunities for Collaboration
The Polish-Ukrainian business forum is currently taking place in Odessa. This event has united representatives from government, business, and investors to strengthen cooperation in areas such as transportation, construction, and energy, focusing on joint efforts for the reconstruction of Ukraine and the development of local infrastructure.
«There is no independent Poland without an independent Ukraine». This statement, made over a century ago, remains relevant today, as history shows for both nations.
The Consul General of Poland in Odessa, Mr. Jacek Gocłowski, emphasized during the opening of the forum that economic collaboration is key to integrating Ukraine into European civilization.
«We are part of the Western culture, a family known as the European Union. For our mutual security, we must ensure that Ukraine enters the sphere of Western influence, particularly through economic means», — stated the diplomat.
Andrzej Dych, the head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, highlighted that Poland has historically been one of the most active supporters of Ukraine's European course. Today, it continues to develop a partnership based on trust, solidarity, and mutual respect. Business, he noted, is always associated with risk but also opens new opportunities — and Odessa represents such an opportunity for Polish-Ukrainian collaboration.
The Mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, acknowledged the contribution of the Polish community to the city's development since its founding and supported the forum's initiative as a platform for implementing joint infrastructure projects in energy, ecology, and industrial parks.
«Together, we are capable of realizing ambitious ideas that shape a modern European future», — emphasized Gennadiy Trukhanov.
