Inclusive Summer Camp: A New Approach to Support
The First Lady of Ukraine visited the newly established inclusive summer camp «CosmoCamp: Space for Everyone», organized for the first time with the support of the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
She interacted with children and facilitators, learned about the camp's program, and participated in various activities. The camp offers exercise sessions, workshops, creative classes, themed games, and parties.
This summer, around one hundred children will be able to enjoy the «CosmoCamp», including those with disabilities, children who have lost one or both parents due to the war, and those who had to relocate to safer regions.
«The strength of a state is measured by the capabilities of its most vulnerable citizens. We strive to provide support and opportunities to those who need it most – children with disabilities who require rehabilitation and special attention. This is also part of the state's inclusivity strategy,» – noted Olena Zelenska.
The NGO «See with Heart» has been organizing the «CosmoCamp» since 2016, creating a safe inclusive space that unites children with diverse experiences and needs.
Psychosocial support for children, teenagers, and youth is a key priority for the Olena Zelenska Foundation, which has facilitated rehabilitation camps for over 700 children across the country.
