Motorcycle Patrols Back on Duty in Odesa
Starting May 15, motorcycle patrols will be operational again on the streets of Odesa and Izmail. Police officers on bikes are joining the efforts to maintain public safety.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of Odesa region on their Telegram channel.
According to law enforcement, motorcycle patrols are more agile and maneuverable, allowing them to quickly respond to traffic accidents and apprehend offenders attempting to flee. Their ability to navigate through traffic jams significantly improves police responsiveness.
All motorcycle patrol members are equipped with specialized communication devices and personal protective gear, and they have also received additional first aid training.
It is worth noting that for over a month in Odesa, motorcycles and mopeds have been permitted to use dedicated lanes for public transport. Previously, this privilege was exclusive to cyclists.
