Agricultural Sector in Odesa Region: New Perspectives
The Odesa region ranks first in Ukraine for grape cultivation, with 58% of the country’s grapes produced here. Despite the ongoing conflict, the agricultural sector shows remarkable growth.

Odesa's Leadership
In addition to grapes, Odesa leads in the number of sheep and goats, housing 28% of these animals in Ukraine. We also rank first in barley production, accounting for 18% of the total output. Wheat and rapeseed planting statistics are also impressive, each at 11%.
Growth Amidst Adversity
Despite a challenging economic situation, the Odesa region has achieved significant growth in crop cultivation and sheep farming over the past three years of war, with an increase of 8.6%. In contrast, other regions are facing declines: Mykolaiv region at -16.8%, Sumy at -14.9%, and Chernihiv at -6.7%. The highest growth was recorded in Kyiv region (+23.2%).
