Tragedy in Odessa: Fire Claims Life
On the evening of April 12, 2025, a tragedy unfolded in Odessa as firefighters extinguished a blaze in the Peresyp district, resulting in the death of an elderly woman.
According to the regional emergency management agency, the fire broke out in an apartment on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue, igniting doors and flooring.
The body of the apartment's owner, born in 1940, was discovered at the scene.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damages are currently being determined.
As reported by the emergency services, there were 19 fires registered in the Odessa region over the past day, including five in Odessa and 14 in other areas.
