Container Logistics Forum 2025: Navigating Challenges and Opportunities

The forum "Freight Forwarders Updates 2025: Container Logistics 2025: From Crisis to Sustainable Development. Adaptation. Digitalization. Security." took place in Odessa.

Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Kropyva, highlighted the initiatives of the regional government in collaboration with the business community, including:

• the recovery and development strategy for the Odessa region until 2027, which aims to establish the region as a modern transport hub;

• increasing port security and the safety of personnel;

• international collaboration with partners for investing in Odessa's transport infrastructure.

Participants were informed about solutions to the challenges hindering the region from fully realizing its potential, such as:

• optimization of customs procedures (reducing bureaucracy in cargo clearance, digitalization, and preventing risks from transport congestion);

• lack of an effective monitoring mechanism for customs and port efficiency (introduction of a KPI system);

• need for simplifying customs control procedures;

• security concerns and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of strategically important companies;

• employee reservation for maritime enterprises.

The Regional Military Administration is always ready for constructive dialogue and collaboration with the business community to achieve optimal outcomes in the improvement and recovery of our region.
