New Digital Job Support System Launches in Ukraine
A new digital ecosystem called "Obriy" will soon be operational in Ukraine, providing assistance to unemployed individuals in finding jobs and receiving necessary support. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the government has already endorsed the launch of the platform. Svyrydenko explained that the system will operate through the "Diia" application.
Ukrainians will be able to:
- register their unemployment status;
- apply for benefits;
- officially resign from jobs in temporarily occupied territories;
- receive grants of up to 15,000 UAH for retraining.
The system will utilize artificial intelligence to identify those who have lost their jobs and match them with suitable vacancies based on skills, experience, and location.
Real-time data will assist the government and businesses in forecasting the demand for specialists. The State Employment Service will administer the new system, and all key government agencies will be involved in its operation.
Svyrydenko also mentioned that if a person does not find a job within 60 days after dismissal, career advisors from the employment service will offer them vacancies, training, retraining, or grants even before officially obtaining unemployment status.
