Assessing Water Quality in Odesa's Artesian Wells
The analysis of the quality of artesian water in Odesa's wells is conducted by the State Institution «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine».
According to the agreement with the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center», water testing for consumers is performed monthly.
Based on microbiological studies, as of October 2025, the purified drinking water from the well complexes meets the hygiene requirements of DSanPin 2.2.4-171-10.
Protocols are available at all well complexes, allowing everyone to review them.
Information
There are 17 well complexes in Odesa with a depth of boreholes ranging from 111 to 149 meters. All wells are maintained by the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center». According to calculations by the «Service Center», an average of 45,000 residents use the services of the well complexes daily. The average water consumption in one well is 8 – 12 cubic meters. Water from the boreholes is accessible to everyone.
