Engaging Activities for Teens: Safety and Growth
In an effort to foster a more relaxed dialogue with the youth, law enforcement arranged an event that combined fun and learning. The teens visited the opera and drama theaters in Odesa, immersing themselves in the world of art and beauty. They also enjoyed time in the local park and amusement rides. A special art therapy session was held with a physical therapist, where participants learned to express their feelings, overcome fears, and share dreams through drawing and movement.
The atmosphere during the events was filled with positivity: theatrical performances, thrills in the amusement park, group activities, and humor helped the teens feel the support of adults.
In addition to fun, juvenile inspectors discussed serious issues related to offenses such as bullying and vandalism. They urged the youth to report any dangerous propositions to avoid manipulation by adults. Traffic rules and safety during alarms were also reiterated.
“The main goal of these activities is not only education but also to establish trustful relationships, create conditions for personal growth, and foster a sense of responsibility. These teens need attention, and our task is to ensure they feel safe and valued in society,” said Yuriy Lukyanchuk, acting head of the juvenile prevention sector of the Odesa District Police Department No. 1.
