New Regulations for Ammunition Production in Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new regulations governing the production and supply of ammunition to meet the needs of the Armed Forces. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.
According to the defense ministry, the resolution passed on July 16, 2025, is titled "Regulations on Ammunition Production and Supply."
This document outlines new procedures for the production and supply of ammunition and makes adjustments to previous regulations for compliance with the new order. The Ministry indicates that this will ensure the continuity of production operations.
Key points of the new regulation include:
- Existing licenses for ammunition storage remain valid without additional procedures for manufacturers who already hold the necessary permits.
- It is clarified that all materials used for ammunition production, even those intended for industrial purposes, are classified as military explosives, simplifying their circulation.
- The government has removed barriers for new manufacturers, allowing for rapid implementation of new technologies in the defense sector.
