Beach Tragedy: Rescue Operations Ongoing in Chornomorsk
In Chornomorsk, rescue teams are engaged in a desperate search for a 16-year-old boy who went missing while swimming. Meanwhile, in Odesa, rescuers managed to save six people who were swept away by the sea.
On July 28, rescuers in Chornomorsk pulled ten children from the water who were swimming during a storm. One teenager went missing, and searches have been complicated by treacherous waves.
According to the State Emergency Service of Odesa region, rescuers have already surveyed 16,500 m² of the seabed at the beach in Chornomorsk, with a drone assisting in the search of 6,000 m², as well as examining 8 km of coastline.
In Odesa, two similar incidents occurred:
- At the “Golden Coast” beach, three teenagers on a float were swept out to sea but were successfully rescued.
- At the “Vidrada” beach, three men were also swept away, and they were rescued as well.
